The Diploma in Music requires a program of 48 units of credit in Music, corresponding to a major in the Bachelor of Arts. The program provides a thorough training in Musicology, Muscianship skills and performance in an ensemble.
Program Objectives and Learning Outcomes The objective of the Diploma is to provide a pathway for those wishing to gain a major in Music, following or in conjunction with another program.
The basic requirement for the award of the Diploma in Music is:
1. The completion of a sequence of courses totalling 48 units of credit. 1. To qualify for the award of the Diploma in Music, students must complete a sequence of courses totalling 48 units of credit.
2. A candidate for the Diploma shall: (i) have been awarded the Bachelor from the University of New South Wales or another tertiary institution, or (ii) with the approval of the program authorities concerned, be enrolled concurrently within the University of New South Wales in an undergraduate program of the University of New South Wales which does not offer a major sequence in Music.
