The University offers a four year program leading to the award of the degree of Bachelor of Commerce (International). This degree program is designed for students wishing to obtain a strong, broad and highly regarded business course which includes specific emphasis on cross-cultural business skills, knowledge and understanding in areas of international studies and relations, and incorporates study in these areas in a major university overseas. There is broad choice available to students in each of the components of the program, providing graduates of the program a wide range of careers in business organisations, government and non-government agencies at the national and international levels.
Students will complete a single or double major in the selected areas of Commerce and Economics and may complete a major in an area of international studies or relations. With approval, students with an appropriate academic record may enrol in an additional Honours year to undertake an approved Honours degree program offered by the Australian School of Business. Program Objectives and Learning Outcomes The objectives of the program are to develop:
The program normally consists of 192 units of credit in approved courses to be completed over a period of four academic years. The program includes core courses in commerce and economics, approved courses in the areas of international studies and the completion of the Commerce Overseas Program (COP) at an overseas institution for two semesters (48 units of credit), normally undertaken during the third and fourth years of study. To proceed on the Commerce Overseas Program students must have achieved satisfactory academic progress in their first and second years of study and must fulfil the requirements of the University's Exchange Program.
For the Honours degree a student must complete a further 48 units of credit. A student must enrol in a minimum of 6 units per session and will not be permitted to enrol in more than 24 units per semester. First Year Core Courses

PLUS
A single major option consisting of 12 courses (72 units of credit) with 8 courses in an approved area of study and a minor of 4 courses in an approved area of study, of which no more than 12 units of credit may be Level 1 courses.
OR
A double major option consisting of 14 courses (84 units of credit) with 7 courses in an approved area of study and 7 courses in another area of study.
AND
2 courses (12 units of credit) approved as “Studies of the Region” in the Commerce Overseas Program (while on overseas placement for two semesters). Approved courses must contain content on the country or region of COP placement. Regions are Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Middle East and Oceania.
AND
A minimum of 4 courses (24 units of credit) with a maximum of 7 courses (42 UOC) in international studies and approved areas of study.
AND
2 courses (12 units of credit) in Professional and Contextual Skills from the list below:
AND
1 course (6 units of credit) in intercultural and cross-cultural study

Honours level study is available. Students interested in studying at Honours Level should refer to the relevant Honours plan record for entry requirements.
Rules relating to the award of the degree of Bachelor of Commerce shall apply wherever relevant to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce (International).
