Program: 3961 - Engineering (Honours) / Arts
Award(s):
Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Major)
Stream Outline
This stream in Renewable Energy Engineering encompasses a wider range of renewable energy technologies and their use. These include heat and electricity generation from solar thermal systems, photovoltaics, wind turbines, biomass and the important areas of solar architecture and the design of energy efficient buildings and appliances.
Renewable Energy Engineering is also available as a component of the dual degree programs.

Stream Structure
The stream structure below gives one sequence of courses that fulfils the requirements of the degree. The timing of the general education courses and elective courses may be modified to optimize the student's choice of courses. While some courses are given twice a year, many courses are given only once a year and some once every two years. In addition, courses may have prerequisites and exclusions. Thus students should plan their enrolments appropriately.
In order to fulfil the requirements of the degree students must complete 168 UOC comprising of at least 48 UOC of Disciplinary Knowledge and Enquiry-based Courses, at least 30 UOC Introductory Knowledge core courses, and at least 60 days of approved Industrial Training experience.
Full time students complete four (48 UOC) courses per semester.
Recommended plans of study may be found here.
