Stream Structure
- A major in Information Systems consists of 48 UOC (8 courses). Five (5) of these courses are specified; the other three (3) are IS elective courses that are chosen from the list below. At least two (2) of these elective courses must be at level 3 (i.e. INFS3XXX). This is regardless of whether you are doing a single major or taking Information Systems as a second major.
- A minor in Information Systems consists of 30 UOC (5 courses) containing: INFS1602, INFS1603, INFS2603, INFS2621 and INFS3603. The minor does not form part of the nominated major.
- INFS1602 Digital Transformation in Bus (6 UOC)
- INFS1603 Intro to Business Databases (6 UOC)
- INFS2603 BA using Design Thinking (6 UOC)
- INFS2621 Enterprise Systems (6 UOC)
- *INFS3603 Intro to Business Analytics (6 UOC)
Students must complete 18 UOC of Prescribed Elective courses.
Note: For the benefit of students undertaking majors in both Accounting and Information Systems ACCT3563 Issues in Financial Reporting and Analysis (6 UOC) is included in the electives list, to enable compliance with the requirements of the professional Accounting bodies. Students undertaking majors in both Accounting and Finance may count ACCT3563 towards the requirements for each major.
Three courses at least two (2) of these courses must be at level 3.

Note: *Students who successfully complete these four courses will be eligible for certification as a Business Analyst by SAS.
