A major in Medical Microbiology is only available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Medical Science program.

Stage 1
- BABS1201 Molecules, Cells & Genes (6 UOC)
- CHEM1011 Chemistry A (6 UOC) or CHEM1031 Higher Chemistry A (6 UOC)
- CHEM1021 Chemistry B (6 UOC) or CHEM1041 Higher Chemistry B (6 UOC)
- MATH1041 Statistics for Life and Social Sciences (6 UOC)
Note:
*Note: students intending on completing a major in Medical Microbiology must take BABS2202 in their second semester of their first year. This will require students to achieve a minimum of a credit in BABS1201.
Stage 3
A minimum of 18 UOC from:
- BABS3021 Microbial Genetics or MICR3621 Microbial Genetics (Advanced)
- BABS3041 Immunology 1
- BABS3081 Bacteria and Disease 1
