Stream Structure
The range of Professional Electives and selection of Technical Electives in years 3 and 4 provide a direction appropriate to the needs of the Australian Industry, and to the specific interests of students, together with a degree of flexibility if required. Typical fields which may be encompassed by the stream include steel and non-ferrous metals/alloys production, polymers and composites industry, building materials, civil engineering applications, transport, electrical/electronic industry, biomaterials/biodevices, Australian defence needs: Army, Navy, Airforce, plus the national research laboratories. Due emphasis is placed on collaborating with other appropriate fields of engineering and science disciplines.
