Stream Outline
The Honours program in French Studies requires the completion of 48 UOC (the equivalent of one year full-time study or two years part-time study).
The Honours program involves seminars and the completion of a research project or thesis. It consists of 18 UOC of coursework and 30 UOC of thesis/project. The thesis/project is a sustained research project which should be 15,000 to 20,000 words in length, written in English.

Stream Structure
The stream consists of 48 UOC made up of two components:
Coursework courses (18 UOC)
Honours thesis/Project (30 UOC)
Students complete a total of 30 UOC in thesis from a combination of the following:
- ARTS4818 French Studies Honours (6 UOC)
- ARTS4819 French Studies Honours (12 UOC)
- ARTS4820 French Studies Honours (18 UOC)
- ARTS4821 French Studies Honours (24 UOC)
