The Honours degree is awarded in the classes shown below. A composite Honours mark (based on the Honours year WAM, i.e. will include all components of the program) will be calculated for each student at the end of the Honours year and used to determine the class of Honours degree awarded:
First Class Honours 85 and above
Second Class Division I 75 – 84
Second Class Division II 65 – 74
Third Class 50 – 64
Entry Requirements
A student in a dual degree may gain entry to this Honours stream prior to completing the requirements for the dual degree program if they have completed 144 UOC including all requirements for the human resource management major (including MGMT3708). Students with comparable qualifications from Australian and overseas institutions are also welcome to apply.
To be considered for entry, a student must have an overall Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 70 (or equivalent) with WAM of at least 71 in their human resource management major.
Students must complete all courses in the pass degree at the first attempt. If not, entry to the B Com (Hons) program will be only with the approval of Head of School.
A student will only be admitted if appropriate supervision is available. If there are more applicants than the School of Management can accommodate, admission will be determined by academic merit.

After these discussions, internal applicants should send the following information to the Honours Coordinator for Management:
- A cover letter highlighting the academic background and other strengths of the applicant
