Stream Outline
To satisfy the Honours requirements, students undertake an additional year of study, completing Honours level courses (both compulsory and elective) and undertaking a research thesis. Students must have completed the prerequisite courses prior to their Honours year.
Stream Structure
Entry Requirements
Students in double degree programs at UNSW may do the honours year prior to or after their second degrees. Students with comparable qualifications may apply from other institutions.
The baseline requirements for admission to the honours program are:
- The applicant has never failed any course,
- The applicant has Completed a minimum of seven finance courses (two optional courses in addition to the five compulsory courses: FINS1612, FINS1613, FINS2624, FINS3616 and FINS3775), and
- The applicant has achieved an overall average of 75% for all finance courses
