The Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences offer a combined degree program which qualifies students for two degrees after the equivalent of five years of successful full-time study: the Bachelor of Engineering (with the possibility of Honours) and the Bachelor of Arts. (Honours in the Bachelor of Arts is only possible with an additional year of study).
Requirements for the Bachelor of Engineering and the Bachelor of Arts combined degree To obtain the Bachelor of Engineering and the Bachelor of Arts a student must successfully complete courses that total at least 240 units of credit and include: (a) in the Faculty of Engineering, courses making up at least 168 units of credit described in the degree requirements for the BE specialisation for which the student is enrolled, and complete 60 days of Industrial Training. (b) in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, only courses offered by the Faculty making up at least 72 units of credit of which 54 units of credit must be in a BA internal major sequence selected by the student. To satisfy the 168 units of credit for the Mechatronic Engineering Plan students should follow the requirements of the single BE (Mechatronic Engineering) program 3710, minus:
