This plan only applies to students who commenced their degree program before 2009.
In addition to the Media and Communications core program, students complete a major in the humanities or social sciences, to permit them to study a related field in depth or to pursue their interests in other areas. A major sequence in Media and Communications is only available to students enrolled in the BA (Media and Communications) (program 3402), BSc (Media and Communications) (program 3994) and BA (Media) LLB (program 4764). Students must complete 60 units of credit made up of 48 units of credit in the core courses plus 12 units of credit in Upper Level MDCM electives.
In addition, students must complete 6 units of credit in an approved Upper Level Arts elective from List A, B or C of the Bachelor of Arts (program 3400) rules. Students requiring information on first year Media courses on offer in 2011, should contact the School of English, Media and Performing Arts.
Students requiring information on second year Media courses on offer in 2011, should contact the School of English, Media and Performing Arts.
Students requiring information on third year Media courses on offer in 2011, should contact the School of English, Media and Performing Arts.
Note: Students intending to enrol in ARTS2036 Modernism will need to meet the prerequisite of 6 UOC in Level 1 English Courses.
Honours level study is available in Media and Communications. Sutdents interested in Honours should refer to the Honours plan record for entry requirements. Students should speak to the Program Coordinator in their 2nd year of study.
