Note: This plan is available to students commencing in 2009 only. It is NOT available to students commencing from 2010 onwards.
Greek Studies provides students with proficiency in spoken and written Greek through practical language work and an understanding of the way Greek society has developed through the study of Greek literature, history and culture. From 2009 Greek is offered to students commencing at Introductory and Intermediate level. Students are advised to consult Greek Studies staff to plan their entry point in the language sequence. For a minor sequence in Greek Studies students must complete 36 units of credit in an approved sequence of courses commencing at Introductory or Intermediate levels.
Greek Studies is no longer available as a minor from 2009. ARTS3540 and ARTS3541 are only available to students needing to complete the expiring courses in 2011

Students who wish to enrol in a language course without completing the necessary prerequisites are required to complete an online placement application form before the commencement of the semester.
For more information, please see the School Website. For students admitted in their first year of study to ARTS2540 or higher on the grounds of ability and/or previous study, such courses will be counted as Level 1 courses in terms of degree requirements. |
