Plan Outline

The School of Organisation and Management is located in the Australian School of Business. The School's program of study in industrial relations focuses on the institutions, practices and processes associated with contemporary employment relations. It is designed on a multi-disciplinary social science basis to foster an appreciation of the many important questions relating to the role of individuals, trade unions, employers and governmental bodies in the world of work.

Plan Structure

Students must complete
  • 48 units of credit (UOC) from the Required and Options Course List below to fulfil requirements for a single major
  • 42 units of credit (UOC) from the Required and Options Course List below to fulfil requirements for a double major
  • 24 units of credit (UOC) from the Required Course List below to fulfil requirements for a minor

Required Courses (18 UOC)
  • MGMT1701 Industrial Relations (6 UOC)
  • MGMT1702 Labour Organisation (6 UOC)
  • MGMT2702 Industrial Law (6 UOC)

Option List A (minimum 12 UOC)

Option List B (minimum 6 UOC)

Honours

Honours level study is available for Industrial Relations and Org. students.

Students interested in studying at Honours Level should refer to the relevant Honours plan record for entry requirements.
