Plan Outline

This plan is for a MAJOR in Marine and Coastal Studies within Advanced Science programs.

Marine Science programs allow specialisation in selected areas of Marine Science, while still providing adequate exposure to other pertinent disciplines.

Plan Structure

Stage 1

  • Additional Level I "Enabling Sciences" (6 UOC)
  • Other Science electives (6 UOC)
  • Free electives (6 UOC)

Stage 2
PLUS
  • General Education (6 UOC)
  • Elective courses totalling 12 UOC. The following are recommended:

  • General Education (6 UOC)
  • Other Science electives (6 UOC)
  • Free elective courses (12 UOC). The following are recommended:

Stage 4 (Honours)
Units of credit are per semester. The full Honours program is a total of 48 UOC.
