Korean Studies - KOREA13400 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This plan only applies to students who commenced their degree program before 2009.
The Korean Studies plan offers a range of skill and content based Korean language courses together with non-language based courses on Korea. The plan has a flexible entry-point policy, which allows students to enrol in the language program that builds on their existing language skills. A major sequence in Korean Studies comprises 42 units of credit, made up as follows:
(1) the completion of at least four consecutive language courses; (2) the completion of KORE3001 / ARTS3661 or higher; (3) the completion of at least one course from Korean Culture Studies. Students who wish to enrol in a language course without completing the necessary prerequisites are required to complete an online placement application form before the commencement of the semester.
For more information, please see the School Website. For students admitted in their first year of study to KORE2000 / ARTS 2660 or higher on the grounds of ability and/or previous study, such courses will be counted as Level 1 courses in terms of degree requirements.
Not all courses offered every year. Please consult the timetable for more information.
Honours level study is available in Korean Studies. Students interested in Honours should refer to the Honours plan record for entry requirements.
Please consult the School Website for more detailed information about the requirements for entry to the Honours Program. |
