Plan Outline

This plan is for a Major in Genetics within Bachelor of Science programs (excluding Advanced Science). It offers a general introduction to the discipline during the first years of study and then allows students to diversify into the more specialised areas of genetics, including molecular genetics, human genetics, plant and microbial molecular biology, conservation biology, etc

Plan Structure

For a Major in Genetics, students must successfully complete the following:

Stage 1
Note: CHEM1031 and CHEM1041 may be substituted for CHEM1011 and CHEM1021 respectively.

Stage 2
or
PLUS 12 UOC from:
Note: An approved COMP or MATH course may be substituted for BEES2041.

Stage 3
A total of 24 UOC comprising:
