Plan Outline

This plan is for a major in Physics for Science (3970, 3972) and combined Science programs.

Plan Structure

For a MAJOR in Physics, successful completion of the following courses is required.

Year 1

Year 2
  • Plus 12 units of credit from Level II/III Physics.
Also recommended:

Year 3
  • Choose 18 units of credit from Level III Physics

Notes

Many courses in Mathematics and Physics are offered at two levels. The higher level courses cater for students with greater ability and/or a higher level of prior knowledge. Courses listed in this plan are all at the ordinary level. Students with suitable qualifications are encouraged to enrol in the corresponding higher level courses. In cases where there is a higher course, the proportion of Distinction and High Distinction grades is lower in the corresponding ordinary level course.

Honours

Honours level study is also available in Physics 3970. Students interested in studying at Honours level should refer to the Honours plan record for entry requirements.
