Plan Outline

This plan is for a major in Safety Science for Science and combined Science students.

A Major sequence is defined as: at least 42 units at Levels 2 and 3 in a single discipline or area of study, including at least 18 units at Level 3.

Plan Structure

For a MAJOR in Safety Science, successful completion of the following is required:

Stage 1
  • 12 units of credit from Level 1 Mathematics

Stage 2
MATH2839 may be substituted for another approved statistics course

Stage 3
  • Plus additional Level 2 or 3 SESC courses to total 42 units of credit.
