Plan Outline

This plan is for a single Major in Business Economics and is for Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Commerce combined degree students only.

Economics deals with important issues such as the causes of unemployment, inflation, poverty and wealth. You will study how firms are organised and how they compete, and why governments regulate business. Other important areas include the study of how countries achieve rapid growth and high levels of wealth, underdevelopment, interactions between business and the environment, globalisation and international trade.
The principles that underlie the study of economics form an important basis for how business people, policy makers and scholars understand these and many other different issues of the commercial world.
