Plan Outline

The German Studies program has a flexible entry-point policy, which allows students to enrol in the language program that builds on their existing language skills. Students are advised to consult the German Studies staff to plan their entry point in the language sequence.

Plan Structure

For a major sequence in German Studies students must complete 42 units of credit in GERS courses.

Seminar Courses

Advanced Upper Level Courses

These courses are compulsory for students intending to proceed to Honours.

Honours

Honours level study is available in German Studies. Students interested in Honours should refer to the Honours plan record for entry requirements.

Placement Test

Students with any proficiency in German must consult the staff in German Studies prior to enrolment, unless they have taken German in the previous session at UNSW. Please see http://languages.arts.unsw.edu.au/main/placetest.html
