Plan Summary
This plan is for Arts students who wish to undertake a Major sequence in Geology.
Geology is the study of the nature and evolution of our Earth. It spans many areas, including the relationship between humans and the physical environment. Geology is an important complement to other disciplines in Arts and Social Studies for those wishing to pursue careers in various areas of public and corporate policy, including resource assessment, environmental regulation, environmental management and urban planning. A major sequence in Geology comprises 12 Level 1 units of credit and 30 Upper Level units of credit, including at least one and not more than two Level 3 courses. MSCI6300 is considered to be a Level 3 course. Course selection must be made in consultation with the Geology program advisor, Dr David Cohen.
