Plan Outline

This plan is for a major in Mathematics and Finance for students enrolled in Advanced Science program.

The Mathematics and Finance plan is a four year plan in which Honours may be awarded on the basis of a weighted average of all courses studied in the plan.

Plan Structure

Year 1
PLUS one General Education course totally 3 UOC

Year 2
PLUS one course from:
PLUS one General Education course totalling 3 units of credit

Year 3
PLUS further Level III Mathematics courses totalling 6 units of credit*

PLUS further Level II or III Mathematics courses totalling 3 units of credit*

PLUS select further Level III Finance courses totalling 6 units of credit

PLUS select elective courses totalling 6 units of credit

PLUS General Education courses totalling 6 units of credit

Year 4
PLUS select further Level III Mathematics courses totalling 12 units of credit*

PLUS select further Level III Finance courses totalling 6 units of credit

PLUS choose elective courses totalling 12 units of credit

NOTES

* It is recommended that the choice of Mathematic courses in Years/ Stages 3 and 4 include at least 6 units of credit from each of the following 4 groups:

1. Computing -
2. Modelling -
3. Statistics - Level III Statistics
