Description

This capstone course uses disciplinary concepts and analytical techniques from BBus core courses to solve complex organisational problems. It draws on case studies from the public, private, non-profit, and international sectors to workshop evidence-based approaches to overcoming performance and leadership challenges. It builds on skills of problem definition, analysis, and decision making by showing how solutions may be implemented in business and organisational settings. It applies organisation theory and social network analysis to diagnose the strengths and weaknesses of organisations and informal networks. Study in this course also draws on theories of leadership, negotiation, organisational change, structure, culture, economics and politics. it considers the formulation of business strategy and its implementation in an environment of continuous change.
