Sensing the Arts - SAHT2111

Sensing the Arts will expand your knowledge and understanding of the role of the senses in recent and contemporary arts practices. It will demonstrate that the senses have played a particularly crucial and often experimental role in the arts. The course will focus on one or more of the senses and their conceptual / theoretical role in the arts. In terms of the wider critical context of contemporary art, this course will raise your awareness of the significance of post-object or immaterial elements in art practices.
