Description

This studio extends the exploration of urban landscape systems delivered in LAND1321 and LAND2302. Through applied urban design and landscape system theory as well as local and international precedents students investigate the interdependency of landscape and urban morphology. Topography, hydrology, street and open space networks, urban ecology, transport infrastructure, land use, built form and social structures are interrogated at regional, precinct, neighbourhood and street scales. Students complete two landscape design projects to professional standards: an urban landscape structure plan and a focused design proposal that forms the foundation for the LAND2402 Landscape Studio 8: Graduating Studio.
