Description

This course focuses on the design of landscapes as an iterative and creative process of generating ideas, responding to sites and feedback, and constant exploration and revision. Students learn approaches to site analysis, site response and the use of precedents as the key means of generating site specific design ideas, and employ drawing and modelling to communicate these ideas. Design projects are supported with key theoretical texts on design process, to familiarise students with established ways of reading and designing landscape.

The digital and drawing skills necessary for this process are supported by the concurrent Design Communications Course.
