Description

This is a Level 2 multi-disciplinary course at the intersection of information systems, entrepreneurship, and operations management. The course aims to develop students’ conceptual knowledge and practical skills regarding managing technological innovation through various phases of the innovation process. This course will analyse how large firms can compete in competitive markets through the management of technology and innovation. There will also be a focus on how small and large firms can identify market needs and commercialise innovations. The course emphasises the role of crowdsourcing, crowdfunding, social media and social networks in developing, driving and managing innovations. The course will primarily use case studies and class discussions to analyse emerging issues in technology strategy, operational decisions and entrepreneurship.
