Description

This elective provides an opportunity for students to understand and practice basic principles and techniques of digital photography when applied to their particular built environment practice.

This will assist students in the photographic recording of:

• artwork, schematics and models,
• using photography to illustrate an idea or concept as communication to others.
• inform their working relationship with professional photographers in the industry.

The course involves lectures and workshops. Assessment in this course will be based on process and product work.

There will be three assessable events, involving photographic work (image basics, artwork and project model images and a building image portfolio contextualised to discipline) with students required to maintain a process journal. Student work may be exhibited at the conclusion of this course.

This course requires you to have at least a consumer compact digital camera and Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom for processing your images.
