Description

This course covers the economics of an airline and how airline management personnel address airline economic problems. Topics include demand analysis and the relation with price and economic condition. Costs and supply are studied with reference to examples where current airline data is available. The interaction of demand and supply are then studied and as are methodologies of how airlines manage this aspect. Both passenger and freight economics are covered. Some introductory study of airline financial matters, product costing and route profitability are covered. Statistical theory applied to airline economic issues is included.
