Honours Research Project 2 - ARCH1395
Description
This course represent a major research-based investigation into a subject related to the student’s area of specialisation. It should demonstrate a mastery of appropriate research methods, show a high level of scholarship and represent an original contribution to work in the field. It can appropriately be seen as stage two of a two-part project linked to the Honours Research Thesis 1 and Honours Research Project 1, but must be complete in and of itself. The work is to be closely supervised by a member of the academic staff. On rare occasions, permission may be sought from the Program Coordinators to have the research supervised by someone outside the University, but in that event there must always be an internal co-supervisor. The intended topic must be lodged as a fully-worked research proposal, and must be approved by the Program Coordinator prior to its commencement. The submitted work must be properly bound and will be assessed internally by at least two readers neither of whom is the students supervisor.
