Description
Subject Area: French Studies
French thought and culture have shaped certain notions of our society. In this course, students will study texts by prominent French writers, Marguerite Yourcenar, Marguerite Duras and Patrick Modiano, as well as films, notably Les Liaisons Dangereuses, in order to focus on different perspectives concerning the individual’s relationship to others in the community. Important cultural, social and ethical issues will be discussed.
This course is taught in French.
