Description

This course introduces students to the Civil Engineering industry. Students will achieve knowledge pf the interface between design, surveying and construction. Basic construction methodologies in earthworks, concrete, timber and masonry as well as foundations and off-shore works will be discussed. Students will learn surveying techniques and will be introduced to the geometric design of rural roads, airfields and railways.
