Description

UNIT 1: Worldwide distribution of oil and gas reserves. Subsurface data sampling and interpretation. Measurement scaling. Core, log and test data. UNIT 2: Rock/fluid systems. Rock and fluid parameters used in the petroleum industry. Interrelations between these parameters. Coring and core analysis. Well logging and log interpretation. Well testing and test analysis. UNIT 3: Drilling of oil and gas wells. Classification of wells. Drilling operating systems. Drilling fluids. Well completions. Gun perforating. Hydrocarbon production techniques. Hydrocarbon recovery mechanisms.
