Description

Assumed knowledge: Mining Systems, Socio-environmental Aspects of Mining, Resource Estimation and Mining Geomechanics.

Enrolment with consent from the Head of School only.

The purpose of this course is to build on the knowledge of the mining discipline gained from earlier courses within the context of a research project.

This will be achieved through the practical application of the knowledge and understanding of issues related to case studies of the mining industry.

The outcomes of the course are a better understanding of an aspect of the mining discipline and experience in managing a research project.
