Description Information Systems in Organisations builds upon Introduction to Information Systems, to increase students' knowledge of specific tools and techniques that can be used to design and construct large Information Systems. Students will learn how to use systems thinking to make decisions to solve real-life, information-based problems. Topics include basic concepts in system theory, business analysis, system design; computer operations, including architecture, operating systems, software, databases, and networks; applications in organisations, including enterprise-wide systems, decision support systems, e-learning, intelligent systems; and issues, including computer security and ethics.
