Description

Builds on the practice skills that students were introduced to in earlier courses. Explores structuring the first and subsequent meetings with individuals and families; engaging clients; goal setting; multi-dimensional assessment in relation to individuals and families; exploration of problems in their relational and social contexts and case management. Focuses on understanding models of group work, group development and process. Encourages critical appraisal of models of direct practice.
