Description

Students will study the nature and role of design management and the design manager in the development of design cultures. The analysis and application of design management processes to the notion of design cultures as a management goal in both commercial and institutional environments will be explored in both Australian and International contexts. Students will learn techniques they can apply in the context of their own practice to create design cultures. This will be achieved through critical analysis of design practice in both consultant and design department situations and comparative analysis of design management, economic and business concepts in research and design development.
