Description Focuses on selected areas of interest in contemporary neuroscience research. Includes: brain development and axon guidance, pain pathways, spinal cord injury, central control of cardiovascular function, cortical processing of visual information and bionic eyes, drug addiction, control of appetite and the neuropathology of degenerative disorders. The course is organised in seminar format with discussion of original research papers. It is ideal for students considering doing Honours as it provides a background to current research problems and the opportunity to undertake a small project.
