Subject Area: Korean Studies
This Course provides an intermediate level program in Korean language study from a communicative and task-based approach. The primary medium of instruction is Korean and where necessary English is also used to clarify the teaching/learning points. Students continue to develop communicative skills in Korean through various activities, with an increasing emphasis on literacy skills. Consolidates knowledge of, and offers insights into, how the Korean language works. Emphasis on information gathering and organising skills as well as dictionary skills. Vocabulary and grammatical structures are presented in the context of culturally relevant topics.
The topics covered in the course include requesting and offering, the world of nature, following and giving directions, future plans, food and describing sequences and learning Korean.
