Description This course introduces broad issues in Psychology that are of importance to Optometry, as well as the use of statistics in the behavioural sciences. Particular attention will be paid to relevant traditional and contemporary psychological knowledge (e.g. social psychology, cognition, neuropsychology and abnormal psychology) and their importance to optometric theory and practice, research design and experimental methods, and the application of statistical analysis to behavioural and optometric measurement. The course objectives are of particular relevance to research in Optometry especially in the Satge 5 study program and in practice.
