Description Recent advances in understanding molecular mechanisms of acute and chronic inflammation, allergy, autoimmune diseases, atherosclerosis and thrombosis. Detailed discussion of mediators of these processes, including cytokines and growth factors. Systemic pathology of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, with an emphasis on ischaemic heart disease and asthma. Laboratory classes introduce modern research and diagnostic techniques.
