Description

What explains the success of Asian enterprises? This course provides an insight into the strategies and organisational structures of companies from Asia (including the Japanese keiretsu, Korean Chaebol and Chinese state enterprises and family business); the internationalisation and growing global competitiveness of multinationals from this region; and the forms that entrepreneurship takes in different countries in Asia. The course also covers the perspective of companies seeking to expand their operations in the Asian region, including the role of foreign direct investment; competitive strategies; and the comparative aspects of developing and managing multinational and domestic enterprises across the region.
