![]()
Description Strategy may be defined as the means by which states and other organised groups use force or the threat of force to obtain their objectives. This course introduces students to the main concepts underlying this definition at the theoretical level and by the use of practical examples. Varieties of strategy, conventional armed forces, guerrilla forces and terror to achieve aims will be discussed. The place of Australia in the world will be a reference point. The course will also explore the determinants of land, naval, and air strategies and how these strategies have been integrated by various powers over the last century.
