Description

This course provides an advanced consideration of the major behavioural and mental disorders with a focus on current models and theories of causation. The empirically-based evaluation of these aetiological models and theories will be described. Treatment of the disorders will be outlined, especially where modern treatment developments throw light on fundamental causal mechanisms. Professional and ethical aspects of various treatments will be considered.

Prerequisites: PSYC2001, PSYC2101
