Description

This course will provide a detailed understanding of advanced underground mining systems and technologies.

For each of the underground mining systems considered the course will develop an in-depth understanding and analysis of:

Mining processes and systems and their key drivers.
Core risk identification and mitigation.
Method infrastructure requirements.

At the end of this course, the students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the mining systems dealt with and the factors to take into account in order to provide a safe working environment and to incorporate a sustainable mining approach
