Description The focus of this course is on the physiological adaptations of the respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine and musculoskeletal systems to acute and chronic exercise, building on knowledge and skills developed in Human Physiology A and concurrently developed in Human Physiology B. Specific adaptations to the different component of exercise (intensity, duration, type) will be presented. Skills and techniques used to monitor and analyse those adaptations will be developed throughout this course, e.g. submaximal and maximal exercise tests, ECG, spirometry.
