Description

This course introduces students to the application of economic reasoning and techniques to real world problems. A range of special topics is covered, such as the economics of climate change, health economics and policy, and the causes of economic growth. There is an emphasis on innovation in the delivery of the course, including the use of experiments to illustrate aspects of markets and individual behaviour. The methods of instruction, learning and assessment are designed to develop a range of desirable graduate attributes, including communication skills, teamwork, ethical decision making and critical, analytical and creative thinking. These are highly valued attributes in the job market.
