Description

The project laboratory provides the opportunity for students to undertake brief research projects in collaboration with academic research groups in the School. Students will typically work in small groups, providing valuable experience with group interactions in a research setting. Projects may have synthetic and/or instrumental components, and the course includes familiarisation with literature and database searching, project planning and risk assessment, experimental work, as well as preparation of oral and written group reports. In addition to the specified prerequisites, enrolment into this course is subject to satisfactory overall progress, and formal approval by the School.
