Description

Subject Area: Greek Studies

This course provides an introductory level program in Greek language study using communicative methodology. Being a phonetic language, students are introduced to the Greek alphabet to make reading and writing possible as from their first week of classes. Basic grammatical and syntactical aspects of Greek are introduced through oral, listening and reading activities. The morphology and structure of the language are presented in the context of culturally relevant topics which concern everyday life in contemporary Greece.
