Description

Examines elements of film style, form, and aesthetics through the study of particular film practices and genres. Explores the relationships between film history and film styles and addresses the relations between cultural and aesthetic histories and film practices. Develops advanced skills in film analysis and provides an understanding of some of the critical frameworks and methodologies used for examining questions of film style. Topics covered may include film performance, comedian comedy, film sound and music, and silent film.
